Jeez back After nearly eight months of inactivity .... Story

Well the game 'Randal's Monday' is particularly a single player only, point & click adventure game . The entire premise of the game surrounds the life of a one kleptomaniac 'Randal Hicks' who took his best friend's engagement ring and how he is forced to relive a particular monday as a result of being effected by the cursed engagement ring kinda like the movie 'The GroundHog Day' by 'Bill Murray' but they had put it in a clever way as Randal Experiences a different monday every time he wakes up  depending upon the incidence occurs on previous day , it might appear that the game might get boring after a while but it keeps you hooked up as Randal takes on insane and hilarious misadventures everyday encountering aliens , Darth Vader and even Death and how his best friend commits suicide everyday differently is also pretty funny. Although at the begining it might appear that the whole charm of the game may last forever but as Randal takes on a different adventure every time, but many of the incidence and encounters becomes some what of a bore and the ridicule responses of Randal becomes less and less hilarious as the game progresses. The Plot has a lot of charm to draw you attention but fails to grab hold of it till the end.

Gameplay

Well as mentioned before the game is a click and go adventure game which follows the conceptual way of a comic book letting you browse through various scenarios and try to rebuild old school narrative in its own fashion which to be honest i really liked & in an attempt to change the scope of humour we have been provided various sorts of replies to be made by 'Randal' kinda like an rpg game but the whole idea of dialogue selection becomes redundant as most of the time you have to select every variations in dialogue no matter you would want to or not making a lot of conversations very boring and becomes a downfall because playing through these segments like a cartoon show is half the base of the game.

The other half base of the game includes the puzzle solving to proceed through the scenario by interacting with almost every thing in the scenario. The way of interacting is divided into 3 part  Inspection , Communication & Physical Interaction (which basically includes adding items in your inventory) where you add various items from inventory together and interact with scenario to solve the puzzle which is also very redundant as ' Randal' refuses most of the interaction by passing a snide comment towards the players , which had its charm in the begining but loses as we progress and would rather become quite irritating as you try to solve puzzles ridiculously impractical and difficult to solve which forcefully makes you resort to looking for hint.

The gameplay of 'Randal's Monday' still need more logical approach towards puzzle solving and making it more fun to solve rather than making it a chore

Visuals/Sound FX

Well the games is basically a giant cartoon based adventure and so is its visuals reminding you of old cartoon based games where it can't go wrong , the game visuals helps adding the lighthearted fun and nuisance in the game helps in the favor . This Cartoon style kinda fills you up as if you are watching a humorous cartoon show where you get to make the choices of the character , kinda like 'South Park : The Stick Of Truth' but still shy a few factors to be a perfect example.

Sound FX is a bit too shabby as one would expect an array of wide Sound FX to fill the richness of a cartoon visualisation 'Nexus Game Studios' failed to implement it , apart from the Voice Acting of 'Randal' which was pretty hilarious at times the other's seem quite mundane.

Final Words

'Randal's Monday' is a modern classic click n' go adventure games which makes you some what nostalgic towards old school games and classic hilarious cartoon shows offering an interesting plot with brain teasing puzzle solving making you appeal towards its comic book charm but as you progress deeper into the game jokes and Randal's response/reactions seem a bit less funny and the puzzles tends to be more impractical and illogical many times. So if you want to enjoy a modern classic touch n' go adventure with attractive appeal and design and might enjoy ridiculously tough puzzles you might wanna go grab it.

"An Attractive Hilarious Touch and Go comic book Adventure with a bit repulsive puzzle design "

Pros - Hilarious and Funny Plot setting ,comic book based art work is quite attractive

Cons - ridiculous and illogical puzzles, conversation go less and less funny as you go deeper into the game , Bland and Homogeneous NPCs.

Rating - 6 .5/10
