Hitman Absolution (PC) - Review

Hitman Absolution

Complete Review(PC)

Hey Guys its been a long time since my last review , but i'm back again with the hitman absolution(pardon for  posting review a month later). So lets just get into the Details without wasting any time about THE MYTH  i.e. Agent 47.

Story

The story kicks off with your handler in agency going rogue and leaving the agency with an asset of agency(a girl) victoria and you have been given orders to eliminate the Diana(your handler) and securing the girl. At the end of your assignment (eliminating Diana) you get a note from Diana after her death requesting to protect the girl. Now Agent 47 Struggles in protecting the girl and trying to investigate about why Agency needs her(victoria) desperately. During the campaign you will encounter a few characters from previous games and since this time you are working against the agency Agent 47 has to completely rely on himself in every mission , Also instead of rutheless killer in this game Agent 47 has been projected as a wee bit emotional towards cause and mostly in a good way. Well I think That's All i can say about the story without giving away spoilers.

Gameplay

The gameplay is mainly based on stealth factor where the main goal is to complete your mission with least non- target casualty or without eliminating anybody else except the target(if possible),as your mission is being scored according to your play style and gives you an accolade regarding how you performed. The main key feature of the game is its core mechanics where you have to take in account of everything in your surroundings and use it accordingly /intellectually to achieve your goal , like you can throw bottles,books,bricks,wrenches...........etc. to distract your enemy so that you can walk past them or attract them towards yourself  to single them out from the crowd/group & take them down silently , if this not your play style you can use these object as a weapon to attack them head on , there arealso some sharp object like syringes,knifes,screwdriver.....etc. to silently kill an enemy from a distance but the best & my personal way is to garrote the enemy using you metallic wire and you also get bonus points since its a signature kill and its the most silent way to kill according to game as above mentioned items and even silenced can alert the enemy at close range or you can subdue the guards/enemy and make them unconcious & opt a non-lethal way,and your job isn't just finished by eliminating  gaurds you have to hide them in order to prevent from getting detected ,there are proper amount of hiding places where you can hide a body, or you can hide in them yourself to to stake for your target or observe gaurding patterns &  if you are not a fan of stealth tactics you can attack enemies head on with your silenced silver ballers(Agent 47's pistols) or any other type of weapon yo can take from enemy npc(non playable character) and some weapons are just lying around the levels but believe me  stealth is a far more better choice as it thrills you up when  have to chose between different approaches towards your target strategically.

Apparently i failed to mention the disguise system before as 47 takes down a guard/enemy you can chose to take on his disguise or some disguise items are present in surroundings which appear as small white packages but don't think just by getting disguise world's an open ground  similar type of enemy NPC will get suspicious and may alert the others this is where the instinct mode of the game comes in using which you can prevent getting detected in disguise but this ability isn't all you can eat buffet you have to use is strategically as using instinct to prevent detection depletes the instinct bar , it can also be used to analyze gaurding patterns, accessible objects in environment ,see enemies through wall but don't worry these abilities doesn't use up your instinct bar & there's also a point shooting feature you can trigger from instinct mode where you can tag any NPC in the line of sight and tag them before instinct bar runs out and eliminate them in a cinematic way.One of the Best thing i liked about game is that you  don't always have to garrote or shoot your target you can do it in a more subtle and creative way ex-  during one of my mission i killed my target by poisoning his food  , during an mission in lab is malfunction the blast chamber to kill the scientist, there are many more ways like pushing from a height ,electrocuting the wash basin and when target come's he dies from electrocution....etc. the point being you have many other options to eliminate the target without directly confronting them.and for super hardcore fans out there  it may seem like a piece of cake but don't be disappointed this game has a very unique way of managing difficulty , it has main 2 difficulty settings enhanced(easy) and professional(hard) with 3 different sub difficulties in each of them and in Professional settings gaurds not only more damaging but also becomes more vigilant and unpredictable + you also have very low instinct and by triggering it you can no longer see behind walls, see enemy movements or accessible objects, there is a difficulty mode in Proffesional called Purist it really is for hardcore Hitman lovers only where the HUD is completely removed and with no hints minimal amount  of instinct which doesn't even re-generate and even during disguise its almost impossible to get away un noticed.

It may seem like i'm exaggerating a lot but you have to play this game in order to believe it even its AI's are very well programmed , although there is one minor bug/fault i found that during climbing up or down the ledge or sometimes during gun play Agent 47's movement seems little stiff and woody though it can easily be neglected.
This Crowd Is Noting Compared to One From Mission In China town And Railway Station

Multiplayer

Hitman Absolution doesn't have a multiplayer mode it features a contract mode where you can play contracts created by users and developers from different levels of the main campaign where you can select stage, custom target, disguise, weapon and difficulty you can play contracts created by friends or you can jump online to play custom contracts from different player who posted it online. Although contracts mode is fun but it lacks innovation and feels repetettive and even boring at some times.

Visuals

Visuals in the game is brilliant especially the crowd simulation in couple of its stage the amount of the crowd is very high i haven't seen such a big crow in any other game and with every pedestrian being almost identical            and even with such a big crowd the game manages to run the game smoothly and maintaning the frames at a solid 60 FPS,as goes for environmental visuals it really enhances the experience as the stages are filled with many accessible unique objects having really detailed textures, my jaws got dropped when i played a mission during the rain where you can literally see every drop flowing from Agent 47's face ,talking of which the new face model of 47 gives him a real bad ass look in a very subtle way, even though i really loved the visual it comes with a few bugs even in max resolution the edges of the game feels a little blunt , it lacks the sharpness  which increases the richness of the eye candy.PC version of the game is far more better than compared to one from ps3 and xbox 360 so you want to enjoy the rich experience yo must have a decent gfx card ATI-HD 5990 or better Nvidea - GTX 400 series or better.

Apart from visuals sound track is beautiful i even got goose bumps at some points and voice acting may not be the best but its Rock Solid with a few TV series celebreties giving their voices.

Final Words

Hitman Absolution is a great game with beautifuls visuals and amazing soudtrack and one of the best stealth games i've played apart from from some minor bugs. It's Definetly a MUST BUY.

Pros- Great Visuals, great game play mechanics,Engaging story

Cons-Contracts Mode could have been more innovative,Visuals have blunt character edges

Rating- 9.5/10
